Overview

Fame is set at New York's High School of Performing Arts, where talented teens train for show-business careers. The film concentrates on five of the most gifted students: singer Irene Cara, actors Paul McCrane and Barry Miller, dancer Gene Anthony Ray, and musician Lee Currieri. More so than the subsequent TV series Fame, the film emphasizes the importance of keeping up one's academic achievements in this specialized school. The faculty includes no-nonsense English teacher Ann Meara, erudite musical instructor Albert Hague, and martinet dance teacher Debbie Allen. The movie that started it all for me...

I am a huge fan of dance/drama movies. This was my first... I saw it on the big screen when it first came out and fell in love with the genre and this one in particular.

Highly hummable tunes, great characters, bitter-sweet story lines.

Good Time for A This CD.

This CD was made at a great time. We are in a Recession. Most of the people in the US right now are without jobs as well as homes. However as Jeezy said "My President is Black". For most people that gives us so much to look forward to.

"Fame" Soars As The Best Original Film Ever!!!

"Fame" will live forever as one of my favorite movies of all time. When I first saw it, I was touched emotionally and it made me want to be famous. This movie is very inspiring and has made me reach farther for my goal of becoming an actor (my passion). From beginning to end, I enjoyed every single second of this movie. It's funny, moving, and full of amazing talent that will have you captivated until the final song. I recommend everybody to buy "Fame" immediately. IT'S FANTASTIC!!!
