Produced in part due to the volatile reaction from fans after Farscape was canceled with many plot threads left unresolved, Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars also features original cast members Claudia Black, Anthony Simcoe, Jonathan Hardy, Virginia Hey, Paul Goddard, and Gigi Edgley.

    Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars

The show was cool and sad that it was gone but then I saw a preview of the peacekeeper wars and was glad that they returned Farscape to scifi but its only a miniseries. Watch this if you want to know what happens next after the series finale. Still was glad they had something of Farscape showing and glad that they're now finished with the whole Farscape story but what will happen next for John, Aeryn and their new born son?

Farscape Peacekeeper Wars - A Gift to Treasure

Like many fans I was not a happy camper when the SCI FI Channel axed Farscape. This beautifully acted, scripted and filmed mini-series more than makes up for having another season of Farscape. Hopefully Farscape can go onto the big screen just as Joss Whedon's Firefly has. This mini series will make you laugh and cry. It is one huge emotional roller coaster of a ride to a very satisfying conclusion. I highly recommend this DVD for Scapers, and for those new to Farscape.

Fitting End For A Great Series

It's been a few years since I purchased this dvd but I rewatched it several times recently and find that it has held up quite well since it's release in the beginning of 2005. The long awaited sequel to the prematurely cancelled "Farscape", "The Peacekeeper Wars" manages to wrap up most of the threads left hanging at the end of season four, which ended in March, 2003. The story was originally intended to be told over the course of 22 episodes in the season five that was never realized. The acting and writing are up to the same level as the series, and the special effects are quite stunning, particularly the wormhole sequences. Ben Browder and Claudia Black continue the great chemistry that they had together in the series. The only criticism that I have is that because the writers had to cram a story that should have taken 22 episodes into three hours, there is sometimes a slightly tuncated feel to it. The relationship between D'Argo and Chiana is not as developed as it could be and I can't help but feel that some of the background of the Peacekeepers was left on the cutting room floor. Still, this dvd is a must have for anybody who is a fan of the series.

A warning to those who have not seen the series. The story line of "Peacekeeper Wars" is a continuation of season four so it will be necessary to go back and watch the series first or the min-series won't make much sense. There are simply too many characters and plot lines to make sense of without some background knowledge of the series.
