Two popular teen-centric comedies are paired up for this twin-DVD package. Both Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Dazed and Confused have been transferred to disc in letterboxed format at the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1, with the images enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors. Fast Times' audio has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono, with the dialogue in English and optional French subtitles included, while Dazed and Confused offers a choice of Dolby Digital Surround soundtracks in English and French, as well as optional Spanish subtitles. Fast Times has also been kited out with a healthy selection of bonus material, including a commentary track from director Amy Heckerling and screenwriter Cameron Crowe, a documentary on the making of the film, notes on the production, text biographies of the cast and creative team, a "video map" of the film's locations, shortcuts to the film's musical highlights, and the original theatrical trailer. The more modest Dazed and Confused DVD includes biographies of the cast and crew and notes on the film's production.
