Based on the series of murder mysteries written between the years 1911 and 1935 by G. K. Chesterson, Father Brown aired in the U.K. in 1974 and came to American screens via PBS a year later. Kenneth More stars as the titular Roman Catholic priest, who solves murder cases by using his uncanny understanding of those who have sinned, much like a modern-day psychological profiler. Though devout, Father Brown can be considered a "forward-thinking" clergyman. This set collects the first 7 episodes of the 13-episode first season and includes: "The Hammer of God"; "The Oracle of the Dog"; "The Curse of the Golden Cross"; "The Eye of Apollo"; "The Three Tools of Death"; "The Mirror of the Magistrate"; and "The Dagger with Wings."

My husband and I love British movies, series and sitcoms.....this one is by far not one of them. We did not like it at all.
