The girl's father never trusted him in the first place, but his reservations about his daughter's first serious boyfriend are interpreted as Oedipal paranoia, until the boy and his drug-dealing, date-raping buddies besiege the overly fortified house in a twisted attempt to win back Nicole's love. The Seattle setting juxtaposes a grunge rock underworld with an over-privileged suburban household, and includes a very sexual ride on a roller-coaster. And yes, former underwear model Wahlberg appears shirtless several times.

    this movie is a "must see"! It is very enthrilling and exciting but at the same time very adventurous...love the performances of Reese and my luv Mark he's the best! Totally recommend it for any romance horror lovers...and Marky Mark lovers too!

    Markie Mark The Dangerous

    Mark Wahlberg proves himself finally not as an amateur singer but as a good and great dangerous stalker. Is that sexy or not? According to some of our female reviewers it is. He is a bad boy coming from the not so sheltered environment of Seattle's mean streets. Reese Witherspoon, though, is the overly protected and therefore rebellious teenager looking for the bad boy and does she find it. Not the kind you want for a first love, though! William Peterson is good in this as the prissy father, as always.

    Great Movie!!

    This was a great movie about a girl named Nicole who recently moved in with her father who left her and her mother a while back. Nicole (Reese Witherspoon) meets a seemingly great guy named David (Mark Whalberg). Nicoles father soon becomes concerned with Nicole dating him fearing hes not the good guy he seems to be! In which Nicole immediatly resents him for, until she sees herself what he is really like. A great movie with good acting by all and great music. You dont wanna miss this one! One of Reese Witherspoons best.

    The one that started them all!

    Years before we had the scream trilogy and before the i know what you did last summer movies there was fear. This enjoyable teen-flick takes place in seattle with a well-to-do father who left his daughter when she needed him the most so he is eternaly trying to make it up to her. The acting for the most part is very good. Whalburg who plays david mcall is after witherspoon<nicole walker> the film climaxes when the big bad guys come to destroy mrwalkers over protected house. The Filming is done well with public shots well done. Over all i highly enjoyed this film ..partialy because of reese's increadable beauty on screen. Its much more enjoyable than any of the cheesy scream movies.

    Great movie but i have a question

    The movie is great, Mark Wahlberg plays a good psycho, also looking good as always!! you'll get glued to it once it starts but i have a question and if anyone knows i please urge you to email me!! well it says the movie is based on a book but i seem to can't find that book title or author anywhere and if anyone knows either one, could you please email me!! thankyou
