This movie started it all. I remember when I was little and I saw 7 deadly venoms and since then I had a passion for Martial Arts. Im now 26 and I still continue to watch Kung Fu Flicks. The movie itself isn't amazing compared to the movies today but rent it sometime and you might be satisfied with it.
5 Deadly Venoms has to be one of the best Kung Fu movies ever made. It embodies the entire circle of what makes a great Kung Fu movie. 1. You first have all of your ''styles.'' 2. Then you have to have bad guys beat up good guys 3. Finally you have good guys getting there ''practice on'' and defeating the good guys in the end. The best part about this movie is the betrayal and twist at the end. I highly recommend anyone of the original Kung Fu Genre to get this one in your collection NOW!!!
I watched it as a kid and was amazed by its technique use of animals especially the deadly ones. I only saw it once and I yearn to see it again. This was 20 years ago! That's why I'm going to buy it.
I remember borrowing this from a coworker friend a good 5 years ago who insisted I should see it, so I did, and I really rather liked it. I went out and bought my own copy pretty shortly afterward. It's a great movie about betrayal and revenge...and the martial arts in this, though at times unrealistic, was pretty awesome. I thought it was pretty cool how each of the students in this had been given the titles of different poisonous creatures, and trained in different methods...but neither studen knew who the other was, and later on, they have to try and figure out who the others are. If you are into martial arts at all, especially old skool martial arts movies, then I most definitely recommend this one. It's a great addition to any martial arts collection.
