    Not that exciting

I had higher hopes for this video. In summary, it bounces back and forth between two concerts - the 1974 tour and 81 halloween show. There's filler in between the songs with Frank goofing around in a production studio which could be done without. The 74 footage is nice because it's the only material I've seen from that era, but comes off pretty dry (not nearly as exciting as the Roxy album). The 81 material is pretty dull. Overall, the video is more accessible than the Baby Snakes DVD, but not essential to a collection.

A PLACE FOR THIS IN MY HEART FOREVER

I was lucky to be at a private party for Frank and his band the night before a show at "THE PIER", which became the video "DOES HUMOR BELONG IN MUSIC?". At that party, the then video tape of this now DVD "DUB ROOM SPECIAL" was being played for all to see. I told Frank how impressed I was with the first number; "DOG BREATH VARIATIONS/UNCLE MEAT VARIATIONS".
And it was a percussion based performance!! AND I LOVE FRANK FOR HIS GUITARING!! The versions of "STINK FOOT" and "FLORENTIEN POGAN" on this DVD (the guitaring) is worth twice the price of admission. BUY IT NOW!!
