This is a rare TV series...extraordinary acting and writing along with story lines right out of mid America and every day life. The casting, as it has been for three years, is sensational - these actors REALLY seem to personify the people they are trying to represent. If you're from NYC or SF, this probably won't be your cup of tea. Anywhere in between, this is great entertainment. Not as good as season one, but better than season two. Life's ups and downs as seen through the eyes of a small town in Texas and its high school football team..from the classic book that was made into a movie.

We loved season three. the story lines related to us so we were very invloved.(kids going off to college) the characters have brought tears to our eyes. i think parents should watch with their teens. good learning experience. They tackle every issue: drinking, teen sex, drugs... wish there could be a season 4

This is my No. 1 favorite TV show and I wait in suspense each season to be sure its going to continue to exist. I can't wait to see if last year's Season 4 will be available on DVD soon.
