This has been one of the best, if not THE very best, programs on television ever. It has received critical acclaim from critics and from viewers, especially those who were able to watch it from Episode One. Unfortunately, many would-be viewers were misled by the title to believe this was a football program and while football played a role, this is by no means a football show. This program is about the lives and loves of a small Texas town and one grows to love each and every one of the characters and the sacrifices each makes. The acting is outstanding and the cinematography is breathtaking. How sad that NBC has not picked this up as a regular series!

This is the best season of FNL yet, and that's saying alot. Simply the best family TV series on TV, full stop.

Saturday Night Lights is one of the best written, best acted TV dramas of the past twenty years. The characters are some of the most true, realistic creations that you want to get to know and spend time with every week. The series has much better casting of the book's characters than the movie of the same name. Wish it would never end.
