Friends - Season 10

Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Ed Hulse
Okay, we might as well admit it: We never really thought Friends would end without a Ross-Rachel reconciliation. But that doesn't mean Season 10 didn't give us some anxious moments along with the comedy. Not content to rest on its laurels and coast to a vaguely satisfying but unsurprising conclusion, this outstanding sitcom continued to break new ground and wove genuinely dramatic situations into the final year's narrative fabric. The season opener, "The One After Joey and Rachel Kiss," finds Joey Matt LeBlanc and Rachel Jennifer Aniston uneasy about revealing their newfound attraction at a time when Ross's David Schwimmer relationship with Charlie Wheeler recurring guest star Aisha Tyler is headed for trouble. Indeed, Charlie dumps Ross for old boyfriend Benjamin in "The One with Ross's Grant." What makes this episode unique in an in-jokey way is that Benjamin is played by Greg Kinnear -- who, like Tyler, was a former host of E!’s Talk Soup. Other plot threads running through this year's episodes include the increasingly frustrating efforts of newlyweds Chandler Matthew Perry and Monica Courteney Cox to adopt a baby, and the continued involvement of Phoebe Lisa Kudrow in the lives of the triplets she bore as a surrogate mother. An outstanding episode -- indeed, one of the undisputed fan favorites of the entire run -- is "The One Where the Stripper Cries," which features a hysterical flashback to the 1987 prom, where we see Rachel with her old nose and a considerably heavier Monica. "The One with Rachel's Going-Away Party" sets up the long-awaited reconciliation wherein Rachel prepares to leave for Paris and falls into bed with Ross on her last night in town. The two-part series finale "The Last One," ties up the loose ends most satisfactorily -- but then, unless you were living on another planet in the spring of 2004, you know that already.

    Loved tbe Last season

I am a huge fan of Friends and find myself watching my DVD's over and over again. Even though I was sad to see the show end I did enjoy the 10th season just as much as all the other seasons. It was great to see how all the characters had changed over the years and I was happy to see it end with Ross and Rachel finally getting together. I loved that Phoebe got married and that Monica and Chandler ended up with twins. The only thing I was kind of bummed to see in the finale is that Joey still never really found anyone and was still single.I also don't know why Chandler and Monica had to move to the suburbs. I think they should of all stayed in the city. Oh and I would of loved to have seen Ross and Rachel make it down the ailse and make their commitment to each other more final. But again overall loved all the seasons and will forever be a fan of this show.

The Best Season out of all ten

Friends is such a hilarious so-funny-make-you-pee-in-your-pants show and it gets funnier and funnier each season, so of course season ten is the best. The best part about watching Friends is that you get your money's worth because you don't just watch it once and put it away. You can watch it over and over, and it just doesn't get old. Plus, what's also great is that you get to see the parts that had to be cut because for the tv version they had to make time for commercials. There's also the "Special Features" at the end of each season to help you get to know the cast better and listen to commentaries from the producers to get into their genius minds. There is no better entertainment than watching Friends. You won't be sorry if you buy season ten, but I recommend that you buy the boxed set of Friends, complete seasons 1-10.

This season reminded me why I am a Friends fan!

After becoming a dedicated Smallville fan when Friends went off the air, I had cooled off to Friends but watching these DVD’s reminded me why I love Friends so much. There is a lot of heart, fun, and jokes in this final season to make it worth the purchase if you are a die hard fan or an occasional watcher. I found season 9 to be a bit dull but season 10 made up for it. My favorite moments have to be from: The One when Ross is Fine – seeing Ross so broken up by Rachel being w/ Joey and getting so drunk. The One with Ross’s Tan – I think it’s self explanatory. Totally funny! The One Where the Stripper Cries – Danny Devito, funny but the best part is when we see them in the past again. The last of fat Monica & a couple interesting revelations. The One with Phoebe’s Wedding – Phoebe gets married!! The One with Rachel’s Going Away Party & The Last One – these last two episodes were great in ending the series. You felt that the stories were complete: Phoebe is married & happy, Ross & Rachel are together w/ their daughter, Monica & Chandler have babies and a house outside the city. The only character with loose ends was Joey and he went on to another show to work those out. And I must say that I cried when I rewatched the Ross & Rachel moments in these two episodes. Very well done: sweet and with an ending that we really needed for these two characters. Special Features: Three Commentaries with Marta, David, & Kevin. They are always insightful and fun to watch. And the Last One was emotional for them. Gag Reel – Super: over 40 minutes. A must see. Friends Final Thoughts – Great very nostalgic interviews with the actor leads & producers. Joey, Joey Music Video – kinda lame could have been done better. Friends of Friends Video Guestbook – Aisha Tyler, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate. Some great behind the scenes info. I really enjoyed watching this season again, a great way to relive the show we all loved: Friends.

I am glad there are others out there like me!!!!

My husband thinks I am nuts for liking a tv show so much but it is the best show out there. Almost everything in my life has been expressed on the show. If I am having a bad day all I have to do is pop in a dvd no matter what season or episode and all my worries and stress goes away. This show had everything. It taught you how to laugh when the going gets tough and come together as best friends when someone needs you....... So if you like to laugh at life this is the show for you!!!!!

HERE IS THE REASON WHY YOU SHOULD BUY THIS DVD TODAY:

If you have been guilty of buying the DVD of a movie you enjoyed but then you never did actually watch the DVD, I understand. However, your money will not be wasted if you buy this DVD because it is the show that you can watch over and over and it's still just as funny as the first time. And because of that it's worth buying because it won't be sitting on the shelf collecting dust. When you've had a tough day and you wanna relax, you can pop this DVD in for the hundredth time and it will sill be hilarious. It is packed with nonstop funny. This DVD is a great investment for a good time guaranteed. Especially if you enjoy sitcoms like EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, then I guarantee you will love FRIENDS. Pay once, be entertained for life. The actors and writers are all geniuses.

This show was the best out there, every season has been full of laughter and friendship, two things God gave us to get through life and season 10 is no exception. It's worth every penny spent to own this so you can watch it over and over again.
