The whole Fushigi Yugi series is funny, romantic, and sometimes horribly sad. It is about a girl, Miaka, and another named Yui who are brought into an ancient chinese world, where they seperate, and grow to become enemies. Miaka is the maiden of Suzaku and Yui is the maiden of Seiryu. They each seek the seven guardians of their god so that they may call forth their gods and have their wishes fulfilled. However, they were best friends before they came to this world, and Miaka wants to be Yui's friend, but Yui,when brought to this world, was practically tortured at her first arrival. Both love a Suzaku seishi named Tamahome, but he only loves Miaka in return. Soon, each of them call forth their god and only one will have their wishes come true. This series is so wonderful, and I know anyone who takes the time to read it is going to love it also. Review by Lindsey Bartholomew

I've been an otaku for years now and I have to say that Fushigi Yuugi is one of my favorite titles of all time (I don't think I've EVER found anyone who didn't like it ^_^). It's a great title for veteran otakus and anime newbies as well. Though it's expensive, in my opinion it's worth every penny.
