This is a great show filmed in 2006 on the weekend of the unvailing of the statue of Phil Lynott in Dublin. The gig was organised by Gary Moore as a fitting tribute to his old friend and band leader Phil Lynott, its not as long as some shows Gary played at Montreaux, which is my only dissapointment, and maybe we could have included a few more Lizzy songs, but on the whole a very entertaining show. Its starts with Gary warming the crowd with a couple of oldies, then we progress to the older Lizzy songs when Brian Robertson is brought out to play a classic version of Emerald, followed by Scott Gorham playing Black Rose, and finally Eric Bell playing a classic version of whiskey in the Jar, Gary closes the gig with a cracking version of Old Town and Parisienne Walkways. There is a nice Bonus section with Interviews from the Band and other friends of Phils throughout the years, again a bit short as we always enjoy hearing more i suppose they could go on for hours! Dont hesitate to get this great gig, Clear pictures in Blu Ray really make it stand out, the sound is great, so crank it up in Dolby Surround! Cheers! Was this review helpful?
