Don't let the person who rated this a 1 stop you, if you enjoyed the others in the Gently series. These 4 new episodes are as compelling as any of the best from 1-5. Gently and Bacchus continue to develop and grow. Bacchus's foibles continue, but little-by-little we see him become a thinking man. Gently, too, grows in character dimension. His moralistic perfection does have some elements of self-doubt which makes him even more compelling to watch. Suspenseful, well written, #6 is a great addition to my collection. Think twice before the review with the lowly #1 rating stops you from buying this. I'm glad I had faith in Martin Shaw and Lee Ingleby. I don't regret this purchase.

Another excellent set of Gently episodes. I especially like the second episode about the Holiday Camp, which had vivid characters and an excellent plot. I thought the weakest episode was the third, but "weak" in this set is still very interesting and well acted. Martin Shaw is really great in this series.

I really enjoy this series. It is fun to see life in the 60's. All that long hair and funky clothes.
