Ghost ShipDirector: Steve Beck, Julianna Margulies, Ron Eldard, Desmond Harrington
A salvage team think they've made the find of a lifetime, until they discover there's more on board than meets the eye in this supernatural thriller. Led by Captain Sean Murphy (Gabriel Byrne), the crew of the tugboat Arctic Warrior have discovered a sideline far more lucrative than hauling ships in and out of the harbor -- they locate missing or wrecked ships in international waters, repair them until they can be brought back to port, and then sell off the ship and its contents as salvage. Acting on a tip from Jack Ferriman (Desmond Harrington), a pilot in the Canadian Air Force, Murphy and his crew -- salvage expert Maureen Epps (Julianna Margulies), first mate Greer (Isaiah Washington), and crewmen Santos (Alex Dimitriades), Dodge (Ron Eldard), and Munder (Karl Urban) -- set out to find a large craft seen adrift off the Alaskan coastline. To their surprise, the crew of the Arctic Warrior discover what appears to be the Antonia Graza, a famous Italian ocean liner, legendary for its luxury, which vanished without a trace in 1962. While they at first anticipate the payday of a lifetime from this find, the crew soon discover a sinister force has taken control of the ship, and before long they're battling not for salvage rights, but for their lives. Ghost Ship was directed by special effects man turned filmmaker Steven Beck, who previously directed the 2001 remake of 13 Ghosts.

I watched the movie and found it to be very interesting. Like what would you do if you were in that situation? Katie the little girl held hostage on the ship is very convincing. After I started watching it I could not leave the room!! Great movie!
I absolutely love this movie! I was hooked from the begininng. It has some twists, the set is great, you can relate to the diverse characters, and I personally think the music is great!
It's refreshing to step away from the normal BS that Hollywood is calling horror these days. With all the negative reviews I heard on this movie, I was pleasently impressed with what I seen when I watched it. As for the ''cheesy-a**'' ending, some of us men who have women actually want our women to watch and become interested in horror flicks. It's not all blood and guts.
Nice scary little movie. Good acting , decent writing and direction. The visual effects are very good. The opening scenes are good and graphic. And the coupon made it better.
This was an awesome movie with a great soundtrack. The f/x were really cool too. I recommend this movie to everyone.
Boring, predictable, and dull. There are NO original ideas in this movie. The soundtrack consists of music totally inappropriate to the atmosphere and action on screen. It LOOKS, cool, though. The sets are very well done. But, that's about it. Otherwise, scuttle this floating pile of garbage.
it scary and aswome at the same time...
I always loved the whole haunted ghost ship setting atmosphere. This is one of those films that isn't perfect but its still an okay movie none the less. I was actually surprised by the twist. The film's not really that scary to be honest but still interesting. Watch for a young Emily Browning (A Series of Unfortunate Events) as a ghost. Forgot she was in this. Moving on, you have a crew that finds the ship and that's when the terror begins. The effects were actually good for once. Its a movie you can see if there's nothing else on TV or with friends. Recommend it either way.
this was an absolutely great movie! this is one of the best, most original horror movies in years!!!
This movie was very nice! I really enjoyed the horror and that it involved a ship! I would recommend it to anyone!
A rusty ship. A good ghost. Some bad ghosts. Some gold. So what?! I've yet to see something really, truly frightening.
Overall, I was greatly disappointed when I saw this movie. I honestly thought it was going to be really interesting as well as scary. Turns out it's just confused (as a movie). What they tried to do with this piece of junk was mix two types of movie genres and expect to have good results. You're better off watching Titanic because that's pretty much all it was- drama. The only good part I liked about this movie was the carnage in the beginning. I don't want to ruin it for other people. It's really not scary enough to enjoy it. Instead of jumping in fright you'll probably be crying for two reasons: 1)The cheesy-a** happy ending was too sad, 2)The cheesy-a** happy ending was too stupid and now you blew the night watching this junk.
I watched Ghost Ship because I had heard Emily Browning (Katie Hargrove) was in it. At the time I was into seeing Emily in other films. I love Katie portrayed by Emily. She was a perfect touch to the movie. If Katie wasn't in Ghost Ship I don't think I would have enjoyed the movie as much. But the whole movie was really cool and the story had a great twist to it in the end. You have to see it for yourself! I watched the movie over and over again! The DVD has a great music video too!
An absoloutly truly facinating horror flic! Ghost ship truly lives up to the expectations of a horror movie. Besides the Adult content, this movie was the best!
