Barnes & Noble - Bill Pearis
ABC's drama about five young surgical interns at Seattle Grace Hospital went from a 2005 midseason replacement to the fifth-most-watched show in America by the end of its stellar second season. Looking at Season 2 Uncut, it's easy to see why: With its crazy medical cases, the characters' constant romantic woes, and consistently top-notch writing and performances, the show appeals to nearly everyone. Matters of the heart first: In the opener, "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" every episode is named after a song, trivia fans, Meredith Ellen Pompeo is still reeling from the first-season-finale revelation that flame Dr. Sheppard Patrick Dempsey, a.k.a. Dr. McDreamy, has a wife Dr. Addison Shepherd, played by Kate Walsh who has accepted a position at Seattle Grace. Meanwhile, roommate George T. R. Night continues to pine for Meredith, although he finds out he should be careful what he wishes for. Competitive but emotionally distant Cristina Sandra Oh continues her relationship with her superior, Dr. Burke Isaiah Washington, while roommate Izzie Katherine Heigl dates pompous fellow intern Alex Justin Chambers. Of medical interest: two strangers bond -- literally -- after surviving a train wreck; a man survives a five-story fall; and the hospital goes into "Code Black" when a patient comes into the E.R. with a live bazooka shell lodged in his chest, in the explosive two-parter that originally aired after Super Bowl XL. In the most compelling story line of all, Izzie becomes emotionally attached to a heart transplant candidate Jeffrey Dean Morgan -- the resolution of which plays out in the gut-wrenching Season 2 finale. As the title implies, Season 2 Uncut contains extended versions of three episodes with footage that couldn't be shown on ABC, making this box set even more of a must-have than it already was.

    I Also Recommend:

Love this Show. Season 2 is one of the Best.

Season two is filled with a lot of twist and turns. This season has many of the best episodes of the series. This show have everything for you: drama, romance, suspense, and action.

Decide for yourself, believe me its way addicting.

Its probably one of the few GOOD shows on television, its more than just medicine and sex....its a whole cult mythology. Totally addicting and not to mention its such a smart comedy. Trust me when I say you'll love it and be beyoung in love. Plus I effin love Sandra Oh and TR Knight they are amazing actors.

One of the worst shows ever

I can't believe this show is still on the air. It can't decide what it wants to be, so it has become nothing. The pointlessly soapy plotlines are sprinkled with bad, fake medicine. It could take place at a automobile factory with very few changes. Most of the "actors' are nothing more than McDreary pretty faces. The writers can't seem to remember what happens from week to week. If an incident happened in one episode, but is inconvenient to this week's plot, it is simply ignored. The wonderful Sandra Oh must be doing it for the paycheck.

    What???

"Kat, a lover of good music and movies" has no clue what she is talking about. Grey's Anatomy is the best show since Friends. It has a stable plotline with lots of twists and turns to make you want to watch it to see what happens next. Kat obviously has very poor taste. -Grey's Anatomy Lover(and long live harry potter!)

Alright, alright so I admitt it's a good show.

I thought this show at first was nothing but a bunch of boring crap with a weak plotline like Boston Legal, but it definately wasn't. I mean with me this show is like in my top 10 greatest shows, it's not graphic, immoral, and shocking like Nip/Tuck but not as strict to the workings of a hospital as ER, and it definately isn't crazy like Scrubs.

    Best TV show since Friends!!!!

Okay, well, I hadn't started watching grey's until the end of season two, because my sister MADE me watch the first season on dvd. I instantly became addicted to the show, and could not get enough of it. I had always wanted to watch the show, thought it seemed good, heard good things about it, but for some reason i never watched it. so when season 2 came out on dvd... i watched them all in like a weekend... Wow! That is all i have to say, if you haven't gotten into the show yet just watch the dvd's and you so will. I have to say I haven't seen a cast this great since Friends. And season 3 has been going great as well so far. I love this show so much, so you just have to buy the dvd... you will be hooked instantly, mark my words!

    BEST SHOW EVER

This is the best show i have ever watched! All the insidents in the show are closer to real life insidents then any other show. and another good thing is that it has more than just surgery after surgery, there are relationships! GOOD AND BAD ones at that!

Grey's Anatomy 2nd Season is great! This is a series I hope continues for a long while. The stories/episodes are even better than the first season and the first season was awesome. This 2nd season continues along the same lines as the first, the incredible situations these young interns and attending physicians face and the development of the characters and how their lives intertwine, while not becoming a “Young and the Restless”. I find myself at the edge of my seat at every new emergency room case that walks through the door – where do they get their material? The creator and executive producer (who were featured on the Oprah Winfrey show recently) are incredible folks to have come up with this. This DVD set is wonderful and the best part, NO COMMERCIALS!

So Close to Jumping the Shark

Season two really shows how the Grey's team is sliding inexorably into ridiculousness. Even the pathos is tongue-in-cheek, as in the season finale-cum-high school prom. Predict first all-musical espisode in Season 3.

Grey's Anatomy is my favorite show!!! I'd love to buy this but I need to get my own money...that won't take long...cuz I'd do anything for this Season. I encourage anyone to watch this show/season and they will fall in love with it like Denny and Izzie did in the show.

    Best show on TV

This is an excellent DVD collection and with 27 episodes, you'll be busy! If you are not a fan already, you will be after watching this. Every episode is excellent but I really loved "Losing My Religion". What a way to leave you hanging all summer! The episodes are so well-written and acted and the music that is chosen is really excellent as well. I also like watching them again to pick up on things on might have missed or forgotten the first time I saw it. Enjoy!

Can't get much better than this

So, I can't help it. I have an obsession and I'm not afraid to admit it. Grey's Anatomy is addicting in every sense of the word. I am waiting anxiously for this dvd to come out, wondering what the "uncut" will mean, and hoping for some juicy behind the scenes and bloopers are always fun. To anyone who has never watched the show, it comes so highly recommended.
