    A fun place to visit

While the central character is based on one found in a series of mystery novels, the television program has more in common with Ballykissangel, Monarch of the Glen and Northern Exposure. The central cast of characters can only be describes as quirky. There are three seasons worth of videos released and I recommend that one views all three in order. By the time season 3 is viewed, one is familiar with the locals of Lochdubh and the stories are very funny and good for some belly laughs. The series is gentle and a good antidote for the stresses of the workday. Well worth your money.
