Hardware Wars shows bravado of Fosselious

This 'Coming Attraction' parody of Star Wars is typical of the great way people can take any thing of a serious nature and pull a multitude of laughs from it. When Lucas first saw 'hardware Wars' he said it was 'cute' but 'was consulting his attornies'. I thib nk the reason he didn't pull a Disney on Fosselious was because the parody is funny enough to forgive without lawsuit. A lot of good stuff in this short trailer. You have to see it. Plus, it usually comes with 'Closet Encounters of the Nerd Kind' and 'Porklips Now'which I really enjoy the most of all. They're all very good and funny and , if youre into Mad Magazine or Early National Lampoon or early 'Saturday Night Live' or 'Second City TV' then this work of Ernie Fosselious is for you!

An essential for Star Wars fans

If I remember correctly, Hardware Wars was the parody that started it all. Every one since has been an imitation. I'm just thrilled to see this beloved classic re-released on DVD. It's not too expensive, and theres a ton of extra features. The commentary by the director alone makes me happy to have this in my collecyion.
