Initially, the future appears bright to both men, but a misunderstanding soon erupts that leads straight to a tragic murder, and an illicit love affair further complicates the situation. In time, minor clashes and disagreements blow up into a local civil war, as neighbors and friends take sides. Kevin Reynolds (Waterworld, Fandango) directs.

    Fantastic Historical (eastern) "Western"

This miniseries depicting the origins and events of the infamous feud of the Hatfields and McCoys is extremely well-done with many great performances. It garnered Emmy wins for both Kevin Costner (best actor) and Tom Berenger (best supporting actor). Both were well deserved. Costner and his band also did the soundtrack.Nice job all around.
