    I Also Recommend:

Another well done screenplay by Andrew Davies

Unfortunately, I don't believe the story itself is quite up to the level of many other of Trollope's works. I enjoyed the device of the characters occasionally sharing their thoughts with the audience, although it may have been done a little too much. The movie is certainly worth watching, but "The Way We Live Now" and even the much older "Barchester Towers" are much better. If only Andrew Davies would do a screenplay for "Dr. Thorne."
