This is not a cute romantic comedy!

I bought this film for use with my French classroom. I showed it to my French V seniors in short segments. They LOVED the film and hated it when I turned it off each day. When I previewed it at home, my husband thought it was a chick flick but was soon hooked on the film. Although the story is about an art student who is having an affair with a married doctor, there are no inappropriate sex scenes in the movie. The first half tells the story of the romance from her point of view and the second half from his point of view. And there is a great surprise at the end!

    more from this reviewer

    Ah, love! *sigh*

Who doesn't love a good love story? Of course, it depends on your point of view.

I think the trick to watching this movie is to put yourself in the mindset of the girl, and try to still pretend to be her when the movie shifts to the man's point of view. Otherwise you may get creeped out. I really like this movie, and it sure has a good twist, and then a really good ending. Convincing acting by all, good sets and locations, and they did a really good job switching the point of view without making it confusing.

Best viewed with a strawberry daiquiri for the first half, and a dirty martini for the second half. Eat something in between.

    very entertaining

i saw this movie in my french class on the last day of school. unfortunately we had a fire drill as the movie was coming to a close. When the drill was over, it was so funny because all the french students were making a mad dash to get back to our class room and finish the movie...i must say, i reeeeeeeeleeeeeeey enjoyed watching it.

    Two Movies in One

This movie is excellent, and very well suited to those who like Audry Tatou but walked away from Amelie feeling that it was a little too sweet. "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not," with it's shift in perspective, is like two movies in one ... Once you realize how your perception has been manipulated, you'll love this movie, too.

    Good stuff!

This movie was fantastic! I saw it in the theatre and have been counting the days until I could own it. The characters take you through some very exciting twists and turns, until you don't know what end is up! This is great to watch with anyone, girl or guy!
