    A reviewer

This is the most gruesome and disturbing movie ever. After watching it I wasn't sure if I should like or hate it. I was mostly in between that and couldn't help but watch it again. I like how the character of Doug fought back to get back his baby girl and the dog that was just terrific and different. Finally someone did something right with the whole weak character and believe me its always a girl but this time its a guy and the dog lives!!! Basically you have a family, the the desert mountains and very very creepy disfigured mutants trying to get them. the makeup they done was incredible and beware of a certain scene involving one of the mutants and the abduction of the girl. if you've seen the original then i'm sure you know what scene i'm talking about. Though I agree with most reviewers on how can someone come up with these kind of movies like hostel for instance. Are they like crazy or what? no wonder some people take horror movies a little too seriously. Just keep reminding yourself, its only a movie, its only a movie.

    This movie's terrible.

I watched this movie with my g/f. She was deeply disturbed with the rape scene. The other reviewer was right about this one. It is a horrible thing to enjoy this movie. It isn't even scary. Just gory and pointless. And that's coming from someone who liked the Chainsaw massacre series. Plus, the ending is extra stupid. I mean, can't the director's think of a new ending other than " the guys you thought were dead didn't end up dying?" If you liked this movie, then you seriously don't have good taste, even in today's standards. Also, if you liked this movie, you will also love HOSTEL which was stupid, gory, and so disturbing that it will make you wonder why someone would even like to watch it.

DA BEST AND SICKEST MOVIE EVER

This movie is one of the sickest and most tsuspenfull movie I have ever seen.It has horror action and some hardcore suspense. At the very beginig of the movie i could tell this would be a sick film.It all starts off with a familey who is crossing New Mexico to get to california. They end up being stranded in the middle of the dessert and they are killed tortured and raped by the radiated people living there. The whole movie was just sick and repulsive, in a good way.Overall the movie was GREAT its a movie i would recommend everyone to watch exept for da lil kiddies.

    Distrubing

Didnt anyone find this movie disturbing?? They were trying to convey how cruel and animal like these things/people were. They were cannibals for goodness sakes. I was mortified.I couldnt believe someone would make this film. Plus, even if it wasnt sick, then it was poorly directed and was stupid.

Fantastic Remake of a Classic Horror Film

I have seen the original Hills have Eyes and this is a fantastic remake. I just discovered that I have "Hills Have Eyes II" on an old VCR tape that I taped many years ago. Can't wait to watch it. Anyone who enjoys horror movies will love this remake. It is definitely worth watching.

    Better than the original!!

Alexandre Aja has outdone himself!! He took a Wes Craven horror story which I thought was just alright and gave it a more realistic story line that could almost be real and added a ton of gore to make it a treat for horror fans. Maybe too many false scares, but several scenes will make you jump. I really enjoyed it at the big screen and I can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

Very well done for a re-make!

Well if there were an award for most use of a pick axe it would be this movie. Great gore and on the edge of your seat suspense at points. Could have done with out the implied rape scene, but the movie as a whole rocked!
