Why whould anybody make a 3rd Home Alone movie, and this time not have Macaulay Culkin in it? This time Alex D. Linz is the star. When the movie begins, a grumpy woman named Mrs. Hess (Marian Seldes) returns from a trip. She accidently brought back with her a remote control car with a stolen chip in it. Alex (Alex D. Linz) is shoveling snow on her driveway. She pays him with the car. Alex gets a batch of chicken pox. And is home from school. He finds himself home alone. He watches what's happing in the neighborhood and in a neighbor's house he finds a burglar in the house and calls the police. But when the police arrive, no burglars are found. The next day, he is home alone again and he finds a burglar in another house. He calls the police again. But no burglars are found. The police don't believe him. Why should they? I hated this movie. Hated it, hated, hated, hated, hated this movie. Alex D. Lindz is no Macaulay Culkin.
To me, Home Alone 3 is the best of the Home Alone pictures. Alex D. Linz plays Alex, who is left home alone while his mom goes to work. While 4 bad guys are after a stolen computer chip in a remote control car, Alex is ready to give them exactly what they deserve. Buy this movie and enjoy it, because 20th Century Fox has made a Home Alone that is much better than 1 or 2, even though they are all good.
This movie was okay, but it was the worst. It was even worse than Poke'mon the Movie. But still it was okay. But Macauly Culkin was so much better than Alex D. Linz. This movie is about a boy named Alex who shoveled some snow in the beginning for some money. He got a toy car instead. But,that toy car had a micro chip in it.4 gangsters find out where the chip is,and they want to retreive it.I give it three stars because it has more violence than Home Alone and Home Alone 2 put together and it has MILD SENSUALITY!
home alone 3 is the best there is. It has all the newest tricks and spins. in home alone 2 ther ae barely any. But on the other hand those 2lousy crooks arnt in the 3rd one so is ok. but not as funny as the 1.
I did not like the idea of making another Home Alone movie without Macauly Culkin. He was what was best about the whole series, and the new main character could not duplicate his acting skills. I also did not like the actors that played the bad guys. I liked the two idiots who played the bad guys in the first two movies. It's worth watching once.
Aside from the first Home Alone, Number 3 is the best of the lot. It has a tight story and you have a genuine interest in the boy. His traps for these supposed international terrorists is priceless!! I LOVE Alex D. Linz's acting, way better than anyone else in the series. A bit of trivia, if you notice, you can see the FIRST Home Alone house in several scenes!!! This is a thoroughly entertaining movie you can watch again and again and still find lots to laugh about in it. Pay no need to negative reviewers, it's fun and one of John Hughes best!
...better. The thought of having another boy in the lead is unsettling. The thought of even having another Home Alone at all is unsettling. Why destroy a perfectly good series with another film that's almost exactly like the first? Change of plot or not, the boy is still at home...and it's still a matter of breaking in, like the first one.
