I saw "Home Alone" when it first came out in 1990,and just watched it again on this new DVD.It hasn't dated one bit.The movie is as fresh, funny, and appealing as ever.Seeing it again made me remember that it's also very touching as well, especially in the church scene with Kevin and Mr.Marley.The cast is wonderful.Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are a hoot.Catherine O'Hara and John Heard are delightful. And it's easy to see why the film made Macaulay Culkin a star-what a talented cutie he was!John Hughes' script is hilarious and sometimes quite moving.Chris Columbus's direction is perfect, and he shows a particular talent for getting the best from his actors. The movie looks and sounds better than ever(Fox did a brilliant job with the transfer).John Williams wraps it all up in one of his loveliest and most memorable scores. The main theme,"Somewhere In My Memory",is one of his most beautiful melodies."Home Alone"is a holiday comedy classic.Sit back and enjoy!

When you see this movie, it kind of makes you want to be Kevin. A great movie with family love. So upset there's not a book.

When I saw this movie 16 years ago, I told friends I thought it was destined to become a holiday classic -- maybe not gaining "It's A Wonderful Life" or "A Christmas Story" status, but certainly high up there. Loaded with slapstick and gushy sentiment, it's just sheer fun for the child-hero in us all.

HOME ALONE IS ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME! It is hilarious, and Macauley Culkin is adorable. I've seen this movie so many times since I was a little kid, and it truly never gets old. Home Alone is a Christmas Classic. Five Stars.

the actors is what makes this movie a great movie especially the bad guys in the movie played by daniel stern and joe pescie. what also makes this a great movie is the fact that the whole family can watch it and have fun while laughing non-stop at the hilarious pranks that mcaughlyculcin pulls on are bad guys in short i think who ever watches this movie will want to watch it again and again.

This is the kind of movie that everyone loves. The kids love to watch it with their parents when they're young, although they won't admit it during their tennage years. However, when they return from college, you know it is a good movie when they sit down again with the parents and watch it again, every Christmas.

This will be a classic for years to come! I believe it will be classified with classics such as The Sound of Music and Mary Poppin's. Every year on the 24th of December, my brother and I order a plain cheese pizza and watch Home Alone!

When the McCalister family rushes out the door in a big hurry to catch a plane to Parris, it seems that Kevin was forgotten. Now he has the place to himself, but danger is just around the corner. A really funny movie, and definately one to own!
