Home Alone is the highly successful and beloved family comedy about a young boy named Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) who is accidentally left behind when his family takes off for a vacation in France over the holiday season. Once he realizes they've left him "home alone," he learns to fend for himself and, eventually has to protect his house against two bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern) who are planning to rob every house in Kevin's suburban Chicago neighborhood. Though the film's slapstick ending may be somewhat violent, Culkin's charming presence helped the film become one of the most successful ever at the time of its release.

I saw "Home Alone" when it first came out in 1990,and just watched it again on this new DVD.It hasn't dated one bit.The movie is as fresh, funny, and appealing as ever.Seeing it again made me remember that it's also very touching as well, especially in the church scene with Kevin and Mr.Marley.The cast is wonderful.Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are a hoot.Catherine O'Hara and John Heard are delightful. And it's easy to see why the film made Macaulay Culkin a star-what a talented cutie he was!John Hughes' script is hilarious and sometimes quite moving.Chris Columbus's direction is perfect, and he shows a particular talent for getting the best from his actors. The movie looks and sounds better than ever(Fox did a brilliant job with the transfer).John Williams wraps it all up in one of his loveliest and most memorable scores. The main theme,"Somewhere In My Memory",is one of his most beautiful melodies."Home Alone"is a holiday comedy classic.Sit back and enjoy!
this movie rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Home Alone tells the the story of a 8 year old who gets left behind when his family goes on vacation. Little Kevin is left behind when his family is in a rush to make a trip to Paris. The night before the trip, his family orders 10 pizzas that costs $122.50. At first, Kevin is happy abot this. But after a while, he misses his family.
When the McCalister family rushes out the door in a big hurry to catch a plane to Parris, it seems that Kevin was forgotten. Now he has the place to himself, but danger is just around the corner. A really funny movie, and definately one to own!
It is simply great experience to see such a movie expecially for the children. I like it I like it I think there is no person who don't like. It's great, it's brilliant, magnificent. i can't explain it in a word.
This will be a classic for years to come! I believe it will be classified with classics such as The Sound of Music and Mary Poppin's. Every year on the 24th of December, my brother and I order a plain cheese pizza and watch Home Alone!

the actors is what makes this movie a great movie especially the bad guys in the movie played by daniel stern and joe pescie. what also makes this a great movie is the fact that the whole family can watch it and have fun while laughing non-stop at the hilarious pranks that mcaughlyculcin pulls on are bad guys in short i think who ever watches this movie will want to watch it again and again.
Home Alone to me is a classic. I have seen this film multiple times and it still made laugh each time I saw it. Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are hilarious and Macauley is adorable in the movie. This is a great movie for all ages. It's the best comedy I've seen that's made laugh over and over again!
This movie has to be the best movie of all time, I think I'm going to die! It has all the best kinky pranks (I tried them on my mom after seeing this movie) and it was funny. I think that this carrot deserves an extraspecial gordonzille trofey!!! YAY. boom.=your mom kinky
All i can say is that this is one of my all time favorite movies!!
This is the kind of movie that everyone loves. The kids love to watch it with their parents when they're young, although they won't admit it during their tennage years. However, when they return from college, you know it is a good movie when they sit down again with the parents and watch it again, every Christmas.
This movie made me laugh harder then any other movie all time! Still funny after 12 years!
Home Alone is about the funniest movie I have ever seen! It made me laugh so hard and long I almost couldn't stop laughing. I recomend this movie along with Home Alone 2 to any one who likes to laugh at movies.
This is one of the best movies out there! Classical! So go ahead, WATCH IT! ~ HOME ALONe
Both our boys have loved this movie (and are 11 years apart); we've gotten lots of milage out of it.
Absolutely one of the very best movies ever made. This is one movie I could watch over and over and now I can with this DVD.
