Overview

Ritz Brothers fans, get ready to go ape with this frightfully funny double feature from the fine folks at Roan Group Archival Entertainment and Troma DVD. Though the lack of special features may leave something to be desired, the release of these campy classics will leave DVD owners reeling with nostalgia. The good times begin as the brothers team with Bela Lugosi to investigate a series of murders apparently perpetrated by a simian fiend in The Gorilla (1939). With its haunted-house setting and the presence of the screen's most memorable Transylvanian blood sucker, fun is sure to be had by all. Nabonga (1944) finds everyone's favorite yesteryear sci-fi hero Larry "Buster" Crabbe in a rollicking jungle adventure with lovely Julie London and a loyal gorilla who will stop at nothing to protect her as the trio are pursued through the foliage by menacing villains. Presented in English Dolby Digital Stereo audio in their original 1.33:1 full-screen aspect ratios, this newly restored double feature is sure to have much appeal to the young and old alike.
