Barnes & Noble - Bill Pearis
The medical drama House became a word-of-mouth hit in its first season, thanks mainly to Hugh Laurie's mesmerizing, Emmy-nominated performance as the curmudgeonly, brilliant Dr. Gregory House, a physician whose skill at diagnosing baffling medical ailments rivals his disdain for human contact. While the show could've stuck with the disease-of-the-week formula for its second season, the producers wisely changed the prescription just enough, allowing for greater character depth and multiple-episode story arcs while keeping House's caustic one-liners. Apart from his bad leg, which has left him with a limp and an addiction to pills, House's biggest pain is the return of his ex-wife, Stacey Sela Ward, who has taken the position of chief counsel at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Despite his seemingly icy exterior, House isn't quite over her -- nor she him. Elsewhere in the hospital, House's three young team members get their own cases this year. Dr. Cameron Jennifer Morrison treats an HIV-positive man in "Hunting," with potentially deadly results; chaos ensues when a young mother dies due to Dr. Chase's Jesse Spencer negligence in "The Mistake"; and ambitious Dr. Foreman Omar Epps becomes the patient in the tense two-parter "Euphoria." Elsewhere in the hospital: Wilson Robert Sean Leonard moves in with House when he and his wife separate; department head Dr. Cuddy Lisa Edelstein pursues her desire to have children; and a very disgruntled former patient Elias Koteas pays House a visit in the explosive Season 2 finale. Our diagnosis? House - Season 2 is even more addictive than the first.

I wish House was my doctor.

I love this show. I think House is the BEST show on T.V., and Hugh Laurie is such a great actor, and SEXY. He is actually British. I know, he doesn't talk with a British accent on the show. Like I said he is such a great actor.

I Have the Ilness, House is the Cure!!!

House, is absolutely wonderful. The writing is outstanding and all the actors are great. But at it's core, House is great because of it's main character Dr. Gregory House. He is brilliant, witty, sarcastic, damaged, honest and vulnerable all at the same time. Hugh Laurie brings a new depth to the character of House. No actor would be better in the role. I suggest a free weekend of nothing but House and Popcorn, there is no better combination!!!

    Absolutely Addicting

If you were wondering if there are any crazily smart doctors out there, the answer is yes. In this humourous, clever, and exciting series, you feel as if not all tv is just trashy cheap dramas. This show really stands out as amazing.

    House is AWESOME

If you haven't seen House then you're missing out on a great t.v. series. At first I thought it was just another medical drama show, but once you watch it, it's MUCH better. Hugh Laurie does a fantastic job, playing an anti-social doctor addicted to pain killers.

    Best Show on T.V

Hugh Laurie is incredible. He portrays this House with such briallance it always leaves us wondering what else he's thinking. Definitely leaving us wanting more. Would also love to see Sela Ward some more in Season 3.

    House, M.D.

House is an awesome show! I watch it every chance that i get. Hugh Laurie has some great and comical lines that he performs!! I also think that in the episode 2:07 Hunting, Dr. Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Dr. Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) should persue their relationship even though both of them think it's a bad idea. Who cares!

    You Gotta See This Show!!

I stumbled across "House" over the summer. I find this show to be entertaining, educational and a fascinating study of the "human condition". We see a brilliant dignostitician battlings his own "demons" in his body (functioning pain killer addict), his heart (I couldn't be happier to see Sela Ward added to this fine ensemble cast) and his "team" not to mention hospital "beaurocracy". I love this show!! There's a little bit of "House" in all of us!! I can't wait for season three!!

    A Break from The Conventional

Hugh Laurie (Gregory House) is phenomenal in his role as this offensive, yet somehow compassionate doctor. The plot twists always keep you on your feet, and the character development is always top notch. I find it a breath of fresh air with all these shows that lack in both creativity and intelligent content. A great buy.

    More Addictive Than CSI

I thought exactly what some of you people thought when you saw a preview for House. It's just another one of those medical dramas where the doctor makes a miraculous discovery and save the patient everytime. Wrong. While it is somewhat of a medical drama, the lives of the doctors and patients will grab your attention. Things that might interest people besides just the medicine is the almost relationship between House and one of the doctors working for him and another woman in his life. While you keep wishing one of them will end up with him, you're kept in perfect suspense with plently of sexual tension and awkward situations turned hilarious. If a dry, sarcastic humor isn't what you're looking for, I'd say stay away from House. But if you're looking for something that can grab your attention and make you honestly want to sit through the commercials just to see what happens next, House is definitely the show for you. And just thing...if you buy this, you won't even have to sit through the commercials. Good luck and I hope you love House as much as I do.

    A Must Watch

Great series. The dialogue is funny and memorable. Features great one-liners not to be missed. Hugh Laurie did an excellent job in portraying the cranky but brilliant main character with a heart of gold. There's a fair bit of drama going on in Season 2. More than in Season 1 at least. What are you waiting for? Watch it now!

    Best drama series in years

This is an awsomely well written and performed series. Each episode is a master piece of a medical thriller where the smart and elusive criminal is an illness. The plot is compelling, moving, fun, very smart. The acting, superior. Hugh Laurie is pure talent and he IS House and you love and hate him and can never have have enough of him. (Plus, the acid jokes in the dialogues are too fun and intelligent.)
