Overview

The Hubley Animation Studio has created some of the most widely acclaimed work in the history of the medium of animated films, bringing an intelligence, subtlety, and aesthetic sense that goes far beyond the boundaries of most cartoons. This DVD release collects two important titles created by John Hubley and Faith Hubley, and a third Faith made with her daughter, Emily Hubley (John died in 1977). Along with the feature-length Everybody Rides the Carousel, an allegorical look at the journey through life, this collection includes A Doonesbury Special, an animated television special based on Garry Trudeau's award-winning comic strip, and My Universe Inside Out, which intercuts a history of the universe with Faith looking back at her own life.
