This movie was great. Maybe the critics only watched the first few minutes when Indy did indeed come across as old & washed up. Which is the point! I especially liked when Karen Allen joined the festivities bringing us full circle. When the movie ended I had a smile on my face & I was ready to watch it again.

I'm being charitable. There is so much wrong with this film, I'm going to write something complimentary: the actors soldiered through this mess without losing their dignity. There is only the flimsiest tissue paper of a plot. There are glaring continuity problems. The film has no heart. No excitement, and the humour that is intentional is strained and weak. If there was a script, and I don't believe one ever existed, it was written on a wet bar napkin.<BR/> George Lucas, may God rest his soul, is a very talented man; a genius even. That being said, CGI a film does not make. Indiana Jones is about adventure, like the old serials the first three films emulate. A rolling boulder, snake pits, and Nazis are the danger. The hero is dashing, modest and admirable.<BR/> He does not get into a Refrigerator as shelter from an atom bomb blast. Furthermore, he does not emerge unscathed after said icebox is blown miles away. This is not Marvel comics. He does not get "blacklisted for helping the KGB", then complain that woe is me, this is all unfair persecution. Grow up! Be a Man! Commrade Cate Blanchett is running aroung New Mexico waving a saber, and Indys feelings are hurt? Is that Oliver Stones handwriting on that napkin?<BR/> As for the crystal skull itself: Mr. Lucas aren't you aliened out by now? Seriously, you just had to put them and their obligitory saucer in an Indiana Jones film. With the resources of all of Hollywood it all ends up with little green men. With magnetic crystal skeletons that some how the Creator thought was a good idea. I'm sure if Homo Sapiens had evolved crystal skeltons we'd have interdimensional travel too. And live on a planet of puffy floaty soft thingees and sit on bubble wrapp and eat broth and untoasted bread so nothing would ever happen to our precious magnetic crystal bones.<BR/> This movie is poison, just like the blowdart that somehow is toxic on both ends. At least we can look forward to, after several more releases and editions, the Definative Directors Cut! where Jar Jar Binks is found to be the cause of the Atomic Explosion. Meeso Sorry Indy!

The movie was packed with action and had very good acting. The only problem was the ending, i enjoyed every part of the movie exept for the last 20 minutes or so. Overall the movie was very good and a would recommend seeing it~ 3.72/5

They combined great story, action, and humor. Throw in excellent (albeit sometimes tongue-in-cheek) performances and a soaring musical score. But as he did with the Star Wars series, George Lucas just had to go back for another dunk in the money trough and he went to the well once too often. This movie isn't bad ... it's better than the usual Hollywood fare. Spielberg does his best to keep the action moving along at a good pace and Ford, LaBouf and Blanchett put in campy performances that only a few times make you think they are winking at the audience saying ... "yeah, I know .. I can't believe I just said that ... but hey, what are you going to do?" The problem is that the story is fairly lame and derivative. The dialogue is stunted and awkward. It simply doesn't hold up in comparison to the previous 3 movies and that makes you regret it all the more.

I was expecting the Transformers star to be the weak link in the solid-looking cast, but poor acting from everyone from the atrocious Karen Allen and Cate Blanchett to the unusually un-ininterested Harrison Ford, I expected much better from a cast that would be stellar in any other movie. Except for Leboeuf, it's as though nobody else was interested in making this movie. That, plus weak plot, horrible dialogue, just bad storytelling, and when Lucas and Spielberg can't resist putting a CGI animal in the opening sequence just to have it there, I lament their inability to produce the same quality of film as they did in their youths. This was a bad movie, easily the worst of the Indiana Jones movies (by a longshot!) and, like Terminator 3, should be ignored if they ever decide to create (ugh) yet another unnecessary sequel. Now that Lucas can't help but make kiddie crap and Spielberg just gets more and more sappy, they can't be trusted to helm pictures like this anymore. It's just not their thing now.

I can't believe they made another one..! I loved the other three!(Though the second one was a little gory.)I really didn't think they'd do another one, because in the last one they had Indy riding into the sunset at the end. (Don't sunsets mean the end?)I'm so glad they filmed another movie! I actually heard rumors about a fourth movie a few years ago, but I didn't really believe it when my mom told me. I felt too sad about the third one. But what a miracle! I'm just sitting in front of my tv and I see a preview for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! For all our Indy fans out there buy it!(Because I know you already have the other three!)

Harrison Ford has played Indiana Jones in four movies and this is one of them. He hangs in there, though a little long in the tooth for this sort of mindless action, and gives a satifysing perfomance for all but the intelligent. The hideously over rated Shia LaBeouf also appears in his usual annoying role.

I grew up in the 70's, being the biggest fan of all things George Lucas: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Close Encounters, etc. <BR/><BR/>When "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" came out, I never got around to seeing it in a theater, so I just had to buy it. Well, I was hugely disappointed. Think "Return-of-the-Jedi" or "SW - Episode I" type of acting and dialogues. Even my 9 year-old daughter was bored. Note: knowing it's rated PG-13, I cautiously let her watch it, but it was harmless.<BR/><BR/>So, if you haven't seen it but still want to watch it just out of curiosity, have somebody lend it to you-<BR/><BR/>On the other hand, if you've never seen The Lord of the Rings trilogy, you've missed out on one of the greatest books-turned-into-movies ever. We enjoyed these so much we even named our dog Frodo, who's the main character of the story.

Though the Nazi's are gone, time has passed, and a new era is dawning. However, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull does not fail to deliver. It seems that many Indy fans were dissapointed in this latest film, but those skeptics just don't understand the plot as well as the elements that makes up the story. Overall, it follows the same path as the other Jones' films and is true to the theme of them all. Surely, one can appreciate what Crystal Skull has to offer!

It is a movie that spectators from all over the world are longing for. It is hard to find another one who can do better scientific/action/adventure movies than Locas and Spielberg. A major element for the success of the Indiana Jones Trilogy is to bring surprise to spectators. Apart from logical point of view: Dr. Jones is able to survive from a nuclear bomb by simply staying inside a fridge, unfortunately this movie brings no surprise to the spectators. The story just looks like a shadow of ‘ ET’ and ‘ The Close Encounters of The Third Kind’ . I am not sure whether the director is trying to remind the spectators for his achievements in the past. The movie has already left a tail for the return of the ark hopefully Dr. Jones is not going to deal with Jurassic dinosaurs in the fifth installment.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed every moment of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull when I saw it in the theaters. Only in retrospect did I realize that it was pretty forgettable. I'd place it alongside Temple of Doom in the Indy Quadrilogy. It's fun, but it's no Last Crusade or Raiders of the Lost Ark. There are a few scenes that require just a bit too much suspension of disbelief, mostly because they *don't* involve magic or the supernatural. The power of God melting Nazis I can handle. Shia LaBeouf swinging like a monkey from vines for five solid minutes I can't. And don't get me started on the lead-lined refrigerator debacle. On the plus side, most of the actors turn in a good performances. Ford looks very comfortable back in the fedora, Karen Allen doesn't seem to have aged a day, and Cate Blanchett is wonderfully icy as the Russian psychic Agent Spalko. Strangely enough, I didn't mind the end of the film at all. No spoilers here, but the Indy films giving way from Pulp Adventure to the Sci-Fi of the 50's feels like a good way to end the series. So please, Mr. Lucas, Mr. Speilberg...let it end.

This one deserves six stars! I went to the movie theatre to see this one and I loved it. I very seldom go see movies at a movie theatre. I usually wait for them to come on DVD, or I'll wait for cable. The last time I went to the movies was about four or five years ago. When I first found out there will be a fourth Indiana Jones film, I had to go see it at the theatre. This is the best Indy of all. It is better than the first three were. I don't care what anybody says, Harrison Ford still has what it takes to play Indy. He is NOT too old! The entire cast did a great job in this film. I'm definately adding this one to my Indiana Jones box set. On a scale of one to ten, this one is an eleven. I highly recommend it!
