Barnes & Noble - Christina Urban
InuYasha The Movie: Affections Touching Across Time gives fans a chance to see Rumiko Takahashi's characters in a vivid, beautifully animated first feature that truly captures the magic of InuYasha's world. Like many other popular anime series in Japan, here InuYasha receives the big screen treatment it so rightly deserves. For those not familiar with the TV series, the film starts out with a InuYasha primer of sorts, introducing the characters and what has happened in the series: High school student Kagome is transported through time to feudal Japan by the mystical "Jewel of the Four Souls." She is reincarnated as Kikyou, the last guardian of the Jewel, and Kagome must now protect the Jewel from demons. One half-demon, InuYasha, has been magically bound to a tree by Kikyou for 50 years, and when freed by Kagome, finds himself beholden to her. The Jewel has also been shattered, and Kagome and InuYasha must work to retrieve it. In the film, we learn that 200 years ago InuYasha's father captured and sealed away the Chinese demon Hyoga, but now that the Jewel has been shattered, Hyoga's son Manomaru has been awakened and seeks vengeance. He sends his evil minions to trap InuYasha's friends, and even goes after InuYasha's half-brother Sesshoumaru. InuYasha must rush to his friends' rescue, and prevent Manomaru from getting his evil hands on the Jewel of the Four Souls.

    I ABSOLUTELY ADORED THIS MOVIE!!!

I fight with myself between which was the best, Movie 1 or 2? I still can't decide, but I loved this one exceptionally. Lots of plot twists and sweet scenes. Kikyo actually snaps at Kagome, which I found quite awesome! I rented this from the library countless times! GREAT MOVIE! GO WATCH IT! ^___^

    Holy Frick

This was an amazing movie. The fighting scenes were great . . .well, except for the fact that it was just one fight scene played over and over with different places. It got old. Kagome's relationship with Inuyasha deepens and she finally realizes that he cares for her and not just as Kikyo's reincarnation or as a Jewel detector. It's touching, but not to sappy. You grow to hate the villain(and his evil laugh which is almost all he does in the film. "ha ha ha die inuyasha ha ha ha" literally! that is all he says!)Overall, it was awesome. People of any age can enjoy it. (Trust me, i've showed this to kids and adults and they both liked it. Even if Inu did cuss. . .but he wouldn't be Inuyasha if he didn't!)

This movie is off da hook

This movie is nice, and has good parts like the part when Hyoga took control over Kagome's body to kill InuYasha and anyone who got in her way and also when Hari copies Mirkou's Wind Tunnel and the part where Inuyasha pissed Kagome off by taking the ramen instead of the food she made in the BEGINNING of the film. But even though I'm a guy, the romance scenes were kind of good. If you haven't seen the Inuyasha TV series on Adult Swim, then you should see this movie, you'll love it.

    I LOVED IT!

Replying: "I love the inu yasha series, but this movie had no plot. It was just like the new yu-gi-oh movie, 'im stronger than you''now im stronger than you' 'im stronger than you now' 'oh no how are we going to beat him' 'oh we beat him yea'" by Jennifer but Yu-Gi-Oh is another story...they use cards to defeat their enemies but Inuyasha is a totally different story they fight with weapons and stuff well anyway i loved the movie

Wow the movie of all time!

This movie was so good. Compared to all the crappie movies that are out there, inuyasha was one of the best movies that i have ever see. In movie one Inu Yasha was finally realizing how much he needed kagome and not that half dead kikyo. It showed the begining of a bueatiful opening relationship. I recommend this movie to everyone. - Mellina

    Inuyasha Totally Rules!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe this! The first ever Inuyasha movie & no kiss!!! How Rude!! But I did preorder the second and going to get the third and fourth! Oh sorry, the movie is about a guy named Monomaru, Hyogo, can't spell good!, who tricks Inuyasha into freeing his dead fathers power. This evil guy also posseses Kagome into killing Inuyasha, but as luck would have it her love for him conqures all! After Kagome shoots Inuyasha with her arrow, Kikyo, I know!, appeares and tells Kagome she injured him and she needs to return to her own era. Kagome then gets pushed down the well and finds it snowing in her era. Grandpa is sitting in front of the Sacred Tree chanting spells. Kagome, after long thinking, touches the tree and communicates with Inuyasha. She tells him she doesn't think she should stay with him. He stands up from were she shot him and says that he needs her. She runs in to capture him from falling and he hugs her. Inuyasha tells Kagome he needs her and can't believe she dosen't realize that yet. Then he tells her to return and help fight. She does and they proceed to battle. Hyogo has finally gathered all his dad's power and is now a huge moth. Hyogo blasts them off his tree dome and sends Kagome fling. Kirara and Sango catch her. Kagome yells to Inuyasha only to find her landing in his arms,(tell me he didn't like that). Miroku yells up to Sango hoping she'll do the same. She blushes and throws her gas mask at his head! He says,"ow". and Shippo says,"idiot".Hillarius if you ask me! HAHA!! Kagome and Inuyasha then team up and end up slaying the ugly demon. Cute end credits, better art work, and totally better voices! I love the whole new package and can't wait for the rest of the new movies! Yeah!!! Well that' all for now. Buh-Bye!

    I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

This is one of my favorite anime movies, actually the best one of all. It made me laugh and cry, seriously. I highly recommend this movie to any anime fans, although you should really know what is going on in the series before you see this. I can't wait for the other 3 InuYasha movies to come out!!! The art is different, but very clean and nicely done. The story plot is well made, although repetitive to Rumiko's other work from InuYasha the series and her other work. Overall I say, 'GET THIS MOVIE!!!!!'

    INUYASHA

Inuyasha is one of the greatest anime shows out there, and is quickly becoming more popular. I encourage anyone who likes adventure, profanity, (not really, but kinda,) comedy (Lots!), and a hint of love, to see this series. I have been looking for the movies for a while and I'll get them while I still can. This is my favorite and I'm sure it will become one of your's soon, if you see it. Cya ^_~
