Overview

It's a Pleasure was the third release from International Pictures, the feisty independent that would later merge with Universal. Olympic Gold Medalist's Most Dramatic Film

One of Sonja Henie's last movies and her first try at a dramatic role, that of the new wife of a reformed alcoholic who has trouble keeping a job. The only film in which Sonja did a "Fred Astaire-Ginger Rodgers"-type of dance number - not on ice. One of the first uses of "black" ice which has a mirror effect like water. She also does some moves that she did not perform in other movies. All in all, not Sonja's best movie. She is a skater first and foremost, so the light romantic comedies are her best. My recommendation is based on having seen all of her films/videos several times. I also visited her trophy museum and art gallery and where she skated as a child in Norway, as well as some of the Olympic sites where she skated.
