Case in point: The James Bond Collection 1, packing seven films, four Bonds, and a world's worth of adventures into a handsome slipcase. Sean Connery, suave as they come, goes up against Gert Frobe's Fort Knox plot in Goldfinger 1964 and comes face-to-face with Bond girl Pussy Galore -- a name that still raises an eyebrow. Thunderball 1965 picks up the action where Goldfinger left off a great double feature. Roger Moore puts in one of his better Bond efforts -- with Topol and Carole Bouquet providing international assistance -- in For Your Eyes Only 1981. Timothy Dalton's turbulent but tough Bond era ended with License to Kill 1988. Pierce Brosnan has done an admirable job of updating 007 for the postmodern age, reintroducing Soviet intrigue with Goldeneye 1996 and crafting the phenomenally fun Far Eastern romp with terrific Bond girl Michelle Yeoh in Tomorrow Never Dies 1998.
