    Excellent Post-Apocalyptic Series

For those of you who don't know anything about Jeremiah, the series was created by J. Machael Straczynski, the same fellow who created Bablyon 5. It is a Showtime series and is now entering its fourth season, I believe, assuming it's renewed. The series itself centers around the survival and rebuilding efforts of the children of the former United States after a plague slaughters everybody, as the series puts it, 'over the age of innocence.' Excellent performances are turned in by Luke Perry as the title character Jeremiah and by Malcolm Jamal-Warner as Jeremiah's friend Kurdy. As is common with Straczynski's scripts, characters are well-created and evolve with the story. The episode plots are creative and well-written. The elusive hostile force in Season 1 will keep you guessing and thinking you've unraveled the mystery until you hit the next plot twist. All in all, excellent storytelling with true human feeling infused throughout. Ultimately, if you are a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, odds are good you will love Jeremiah. The initial setting will grab your attention and the series creativity will keep you begging for more.

    Season 2?

Season one was great if you are into alternate or futuristic doomsday type things. Some may like it and find it good as I did and some might not be able to follow. It was a little hard at first as I was distracted by all the Nudity in the first few episodes. Can't recall much aside from that, and Kurdie and something about fish...don't ask. You'll have to watch it yourself! I was into it and could follow it as the characters and plots changed. It was interesting, to say the least. A lot of thought went into it and the later episodes leave you wanting to see the next one and so on. I was sad to see no Season 2 listed anywhere. Maybe they are making it or maybe it was scrubbed, I don't know. It was some good writing that took the characters from a self centered and childish outlook on survival,(after all, the disease killed all the older teens and every last adult leaving them as children to grow up, or so you are led to believe...) to people who see that they can help make a better place for them all. Four stars if you are into it, one to two if it's not your cup of tea.
