The 2001 dvd is very good, but unfortunatly it lacks the fire and soaring vocals of Steve Perry. But still worth having for any Journey fan. Schon, Vallory, and Cain are true rockers and fire up this dvd.

Journey is a much tighter band now. more electricity at there shows. The guys dance and actually interact a lot with the audience and you can tell they are having fun. That fun is contagious, it puts a smile on your face. I highly suggest that you buy the DVD or video. You'll love it!!

The picture and sound quality of this DVD is perfect. The ''set list'' menu for selecting songs is definitely a great feature. Although Steve Perry was not part of this concert, it was still a great DVD. The new lead singer sounds just like Perry so I am happy with the results.

Journey have never toured Australia, & are unlikely to ever do so. For me, this dvd is a great 'consolation' prize. I thoroughly enjoy turning the lights off, shutting the blinds, & cranking the volume ... 'up to 11'. From start to finish, this release is a sensational testament to not only Journey's history, but also a testament to that whole great 80's rock sound that many of us grew up with. I don't care what anyone says - Steve Augeri really shines as Perry's successor & Deen is an absolute monster on the drums. Neal, Jonathon & Ross are of course, all legends. What a great line up of musicians. The camera angles and sound/ production are spot on. The dvd production really puts you there - making you feel like you have the best seat in the house. Stand out tracks include 'Seperate Ways', 'Don't Stop Believin', 'Be Good to Yourself', 'Anyway You Want It', 'Higher Place', 'Ask The Lonely' 'Escape','Open Arms'& 'Faithfully', In fact, they are all great. A perfect mix of rockers and ballads. I'd love to see Journey do an acoustic live dvd similar in many ways to the Scorpions 'Acoustica' - 2 very different bands of course - but when I fisrt saw the Scorps dvd the first thing I thought was wow - Journey should really consider doing something like this. Wouldn't that be something?

The new lead singer for Journey, Steve Augeri, has an amazing voice and the energy he brings to the band is refreshing. Neal Schon is still the best as is Jon Cain. The sound on this DVD is superior.

Sadly, without Steve Perry, this group has no life. I was disappointed with this DVD.
