Joy RideDirector: John Dahl, Steve Zahn, Paul Walker, Leelee Sobieski
After forays into film noir, thrillers, dramas, and even documentaries, director John Dahl tries the teen horror genre on for size. Paul Walker stars as Lewis Thomas, a college freshman embarking on a cross-country road trip during summer break to pick up his girlfriend Venna (Leelee Sobieski). Along for the ride is Lewis' brother Fuller (Steve Zahn), a practical joker who uses the car's CB radio to play a cruel prank on a lonely trucker known only by the handle Rusty Nail. The victim of Fuller's gag turns out to be a psychotic murderer and soon the brothers are being pursued by the relentless stalker, who gets his revenge in gruesome fashion. Joy Ride, which co-stars Matthew Kimbrough, was produced under the working title "Squelch."
If you're looking to have your nerves fried and your pulse pounded, this is your ticket to ride.

i luv this movie. its rad and has tons of action and jaw droppin moments that blu my mind. they have to make a frickin sequel to this radd movie. steve zahn was really radd with his buggy-eye routine but he could have gotten a better style instead of the button shirts and real tight pants. and paul walker and leelee sobieski ruled too.
it was great when he walked in naked, on the dvd you get the works on vhs all you get is rear view
-a terrific horror/thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat with plenty of mouth dropping scenes
This was a decent movie overall. Some of the acting was blase' and I felt it was a juvenile movie. It was a good try though.
Finaly, a great movie that can put you on the edge of your seat. Everyone knows that this movie wouldn't of made it if it wasn't for the plot of the movie and Steve Zahn!
this film truly deserves the 3 1/2 stars roger ebert gave it. the movie is a typical mystery until the third act when the plot twists around involoving academy award nominee-Leelie Sobieski. a great film to watch with friends @ a sleepover
This movie was alright and intersting since it has Paul Walker having to do some car chases as he did in The Fast and the Furious then in 2 Fast 2 Furious. He is okay in this and little entertaining near the end mostly.
