In marked contrast to Hyacinth's meticulously ordered life, however, the rest of her family are as common as much. They live together in a rundown house that looks like a junkyard. Sister Daisy (Judy Cornwell) and her husband, Onslow (Geoffrey Hughes), are out-and-out slobs. Her other sister, Rose (Mary Millar), is an aging tart. Whatever Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced "Bouquet!") does, her family can always be guaranteed to show her up.

    Hyacinth is a Riot!

    This by far is the funniest British Comedy I have ever seen. This was a present to me from my son and daughter-in-law. I had been a fan of the show for years but have never seen all the episodes. It was so great to see all the episodes in order and have them in one box set. All the characters in this show are so funny and the stories are well written and unique. Highly recommended!

    LOVE IT!!!

    I used to watch this show on PBS for years. Always laughed out loud. I finally asked my teenage son to get it for me for Christmas, 2009. Surprisingly, he got it! (Teenagers would rather not spend their hard earned cash on goofy stuff for Mom!)
    The episodes are absolutely delightful. I love how the box set is displayed.
    I will never tire of these characters!

    funny series

    I love "Bucket Lady". I got my mom and a lot of her friends hooked on her. I'm glad I got the series because it's not on pbs anymore. I watch this a lot. Nevery tire of it!

    Great Britcom

    The hilarious antics of Hyacinth Bucket as she tries to seem ever so posh, despite the best efforts of her wayward, rag-tag family. She's a ludicrous character, well-balanced by her long-suffering dear husband Richard. Routledge and Swift are spot on.

    keeping up appearances is a riot of laughter

    one weekend when i was at a friends house he was watching this show on
    pbs on a saturday night. and ever since i saw the show i cant get enough of
    it. verry funny and it gets me laughing.the cast is amazing and bring the meaning of comedy to this series. if you like a good clean comedy for the
    whole family to watch. then k/u/a is the show to see.

    One of the funniest series

    I cant get enough of Mrs. Bucket and her family. First watched on PBS and was HOOKED!!!! So, I had to buy more DVD's to keep the laughter going. Great show.
