Historian Ken Burns became one of the most famous and respected documentary directors of his time, thanks to his thorough research and his unique style. This box set combines seven of his films that originally aired on PBS that have to do with American history. Empire of the Air, Brooklyn Bridge, The Shakers, The Congress, The Statue of Liberty, Huey Long, and Thomas Hart Benton are each presented in the original broadcast aspect ratio of 1.33:1. Ken Burns gives his treatmnt of portions of American history, such as the Shaker Movement. As such it is very informative and highgly enertaining. Highest recomdation.
