Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble - Christina Urban
Much like its broadcast cousin The Simspons, King of the Hill hit its stride during its fourth season with a number of stellar episodes. Following the previous season's skydiving cliff-hanger, we learn that Hank Hill's Mike Judge wife, Peggy Kathy Najimy, survived her tumble out of the plane but is confined to a full-body cast in "Peggy Hill: The Decline and Fall." On top of the guilt he feels for urging Peggy to jump, Hank must also deal with his crotchety father, Cotton Toby Huss, who has a new wife, Didi Ashley Gardner, and a new son, whom he names "Good Hank." Hank's awkward son, Bobby Pamela Segall, and niece Luanne Brittany Murphy also have their share of troubles this season: Bobby adopts a wild raccoon that bites family dog Ladybird in "To Kill a Ladybird"; he gets an F in English in "Old Glory"; and he is mistaken for the reincarnation of a Buddhist monk in "Won't You Pimai Neighbor?"; Luanne, for her part, becomes the obsession of neighbor Joseph Gribble Breckin Meyer in "Naked Ambition" and moves out of the house in "Movin' On Up." As with previous King of the Hill seasons, it's the guest voice actors that truly make the 1999-2000 installments shine. Stars such as Meryl Streep, Kathleen Turner, Heather Locklear, Reese Witherspoon, Teri Garr, the Dixie Chicks, director Sydney Pollack, and a slew of country music stars such as Clint Black, Randy Travis, and Vince Gill add a down-home charm to King's animated Texans.

    Great Season!

I love the King of the Hill series and this was a must to add to my collection. Too bad they only put out Season's 1-6 on dvd! Get the second part of Peggy falling out of a plane and see Dale be his usual "Dale" self.
