    deserved batter

From the very first episode, this series was absolutely breathtaking in its scope. The writing, the score, the images, were all of an extremely high caliber, the kind you must work hard to find nowadays on network television. There characters are engaging, complicated creatures. You end up finding yourself sympathetic towards even the most villainous of them. I only wish NBC had given this show more of a chance. It deserved the opportunity to spread its wings and truly take flight, to be allowed to grow into its obvious potential. Sadly, all there is of this promising series is thirteen episodes, but those thirteen are all spectacular.

    more from this reviewer

KINGS is the only show i follow in real time.

okay, so the packaging says The Complete Series - but i hear NBC is actually bringing the show back. after announcing the series would be cancelled, the demand for more was so strong they reversed the decision. now, if only they will put it on at an appropriate time and give it the least bit of promotion - this show is one you can really 'get into' and follow. in fact, i watch almost everything on dvd long after it has aired, but if they really bring this back, i might actually have my cable turned back on during the season just to keep up.
