    Decent kid's movie

While not one of my favorite kids movie's it is definitely one that stuck with me over the years. Some of the story isn't terribly believable, for instance the main characters decide that they are in love within seconds of meeting, however this occurs in many children¿s movies. Others just gloss over that aspect a little better. Other than little things like that the story is fairly sound and even has a number of similarities to one of the Greek tales of Apollo, mixed with some classic fairy tale elements. The effects aren¿t great but considering when and where the movie was made that is understandable. Nevertheless I find that children enjoy it, have an easier time with understanding the Greek story, they find the characters fairly relatable, and it is a good example for different cultures, (I used it to help my little sister grasp this concept) While there isn't really anything inappropriate I recommend this for kids 8ish and up, because the material isn't entertaining enough to carry younger children who don¿t understand what is happening.
