La Cage Aux Folles II

( 3 )

Overview

The funny, charming French film La Cage Aux Folles was a massive international hit and was followed by this horrid sequel and an even worse third installment before eventually being remade in America as The Bird Cage. The MGM DVD release of La Cage Aux Folles II unfortunately doesn't have any more laughs on it then the theatrical film but it's restored the movie to its original widescreen aspect ratio. The audio track has been cleaned up and transferred to Dolby Digital Mono 2.0 for all three language tracks -- ...

    good sequel

robin williams birdcage was typically unfunny compared to la cage & this sequel was also much funnier. there's also a 3rd movie in this series but it's never been released in usa since it came out in 1985. maybe someday the studio will put all 3 in a box set? i'm glad i bought the first 2 dvd's since they were so cheap but i would prob'ly get the box set if it was released & had plenty of features but i might just get the 3rd movie if it is ever released on dvd.

One of the All-Time Funniest Movies Ever!

Everyone knoew Cage aux Folles - it was great, but for some reason, this one is even better (unusual for a sequal) Michel Serrault and Ugo Tognozzi are hilarious. If you've ever been a woman who visited rural Italy - this is SO true. Touching and out there as a wonderful gay comedy - but good for everyone who loves France, Italy and life in general. GREAT MOVIE!!!!
