I was totally captivated by this fantasy & never tired from watching it again and again. Jim Henson's a brilliant artist and redefined entertainment for kids and adults - his imagination and storytelling blend a totally original style of playfulness, darkness and humor which had me hooked.

For my will is as strong as yours and my kingdom is as great. Sarah: Damn I could never remember that line. Then she looks at Jareth and says " You have no power over me." Who doesn't remember this movie when they were young and not get tired of it? I remember my brother and I watched this a lot when we were younger and then forgot about it years later. I then saw a vid on youtube and thanks to that it got me interested in seeing the film again. My bro and I watched it again and notice some stuff like of how in the beginning you clearly see the books and toys that Sarah have with the creatures that later appear in the Labyrinth to the face of Bowie on 3 seperate pieces of a rock thing where Hoggle is given the peach by Jareth. Something always bugged me when I was watching a scene particulary the ball room scene. Did anyone noticed one of the dancers (besides Jareth) who wore a long hat and long nose type mask was always following/stalking Sarah? Moving on, this is the story of a girl who learns i guess grow up while trying to get back her baby brother after wishing him away and makes friends along the way. Hoggle had good character development from a cheat to a coward to a brave and loyal friend. Ludo is adorable and Sir Didymus was awesome. Jareth what more to say he's freaking awesome good or bad (prefer bad LOL). Sarah seemed a little childish and bratty but still you got to admit that dress was pretty. Jareth was cocky, sexy and yet in pain like he longed for something more...I wasn't sure why many believe that Jareth loved Sarah. It seemed like he was just distracting her so she could forget about Toby but hey us fans can dream can't we? The songs were good especially Underground and Within You. Fave scenes has to be any scene with Jareth (especially the ballroom and escher staircase scene). I always wondered what would happen after Sarah returns to her world and am happy to tell ya that there is a sequel (its a manga actually). Movies like Labyrinth are to bring out our imagination and this does just that. Watch Labyrinth with your kids or friends or family, its still a classic and will never be old.

If you can get past the fact that the movie probably isn't 'cool', you'll find a movie that is very watchable and funny. Both of my kids love it, and it's one I don't mind watching, either.

I saw this movie like 10 years ago when I was twelve, it still wonderfull to me thought, and if you like fantasy, other world, charm, and good stories, everything is here!!!

For anyone who is a fan of Jim Henson. This is a fun movie for anyone at any age. David Bowie is Jareth the Goblin King who obeys the wish of Sarah, played by Jennifer Connelly. Sarah wishes her step brother away due to her being annoyed at having to babysit him. She doesn't realize that her made up story of a land where goblins live, ruled by their king. When wished to the goblins will come a take wished away children to live with them. Realizing her mistake and finding out she really does care for her young step brother Sarah is taken to Jareth's world where she will have to run a labyrinth. If she can reach the end before time is up then her and her brother can go home. If not then her brother will become a goblin.

She realizes what she's done and has to rescue Toby. Along the way she finds friends in Ludo, Sir Didymus and eventually Hoggle. The songs are great. The acting is good. A beloved imaginative classic that the whole family can watch.

This movie was wonderful! The music was excellent (if one likes David Bowie), the settings were all very colorful, the characters are unique, the storyline is unforgettable...I reccommend it to everyone!

I finally got around to watching this movie and I must say I LOVED Bowie as Jareth, the Goblin King. He was excellent....when he was dark. And the film would be a favorite, if it was darker. However, this is a kid's film and you get the sense the Henson pulled back quite a bit, especially with the pop song, Dance Magic Dance "written by Bowie" which, while incredible catchy, takes him out of character. Connelly as our heroine is pretty, but you never really seem to connect with her and she's not quite believable "however she was quite young". The muppets are just okay. HIGHPOINT OF THE FILM: When Jareth stalks Sarah in a M.S. Esher inspired room. The music he sings is undeniably haunting and you'd wish for more of the 'evil' Jareth.

They couldn't do a remake of this movie and get away with it it wouldn't be the same. :D I was actually made to watch this movie by my sister, and absolutely LOVED it (contrary to what I thought before I watched it. XD) It's BRILLIANT!!!

I really love Jareth. He's my favorite goblin from any movie. No one but Bowie could play his roll, which is why they can't remake this cool movie. I remember watching this film ages before I found it again, and I remembered the part where Bowie was singing that "Dance magic dance" song. I'm glad I have it again to watch over and over and over. One reason I think this film appeals to me is the fact it's crazy enough to work, and it's pulled off nicely. The music thrills me and makes me wanna dance. And Jareth Jareth Jareth... I want my own Jareth! The ballroom scene in Sarah's dream is a new favorite scene of mine. The music and those costumes enchants me and it can do the same to you. I don't see how anyone could go wrong with this movie. It's quirky and fun. A little outated, but that's one of the reasns why it's fun! Pick this film up for yourself or a teen, child, anyone who likes fantasy! The Goblin King awaits your presence.

I was a little girl when I saw this movie, but I always remembered it. David Bowie is awesome in this movie, and I can't get over how handsome he is! I love the whole movie, but part of me wished she had chosen Jareth. The naughty part of me!

This movie is my favorite movie since I've been a little girl. I am now 23 and still enjoy it. I have probably watched it over 30 times and am still not sick of it. I would love to see this movie re-done, although it probably wouldn't compare, sorta of like Charlie and the Choclate Factory.

I was Sarah, once upon a time, when I first saw the film in fact. I had the same feelings, and dramatic behavior. I also dreamed of an adventure like the one she has in this movie, which stole my heart years ago and still holds it close. It's ridiculous, but fun. With memories of the girl I was and the land of wonderful imagination this film invokes, it shall forever be a favorite, I hope I have daughter like Sarah and she has a Jareth. Even it he is just in her dreams. Imagination turns eveything into magic, and if you look hard enough you can find an adventure to rival Sarah's. Everyone should explore the Labyrith at least once in their lives.

When I first was going to see this movie. I was like this is going to be dumb. But, to my suprise I loved it. It became my fave movie of all time. I also in a weird way fell in love with david's charcter.

One of my favorites. This is a pretty good movie and the songs are entertaining plus the puppets are hilarious and make the film fun to watch again and again. Would of been cool if they could make a sequel or probably a series or something. That would be interesting. Great movie though.

Labyrinth is awesome. It has everything: romance, humor, an action sequence, friedship, a talking wurm, DAVID BOWIE, you get the picture. The special effects aren't that great, and the whole puppet thing might irk some, but if you're willing to overlook those details, you're in for a treat. They soundtrack is great as well. It features a couple of songs written and performed by Bowie especially for the movie, and a few musical scores.

Watched this film when I was around 11,lost the video since then.Never expected to find this film after 14yrs later.This show is simply amazing..I could rate more than 5stars. I cant wait to watch it again.

a beautiful movie for both kids and adults alike. a wonderful form of escapism and the fact that david bowie stars in it is always a plus ;) i have watched this movie since i was a kid and it is still one of my favorites. wonderful soundtrack as well.
