Returning actors included Sam Waterston and Jerry Orbach; installments this season included Bait, Flight, Agony, Scrambled and Venom. This was also the season that featured the installment Sideshow: Part II, a crossover episode to the popular Barry Levinson series Homicide: Life on the Street.
