I am loving this workout. the fact that this has both the 1-mile and 2-mile workouts was the greatest idea. you can decide which one you feel up to and click it on in a heartbeat. the 1-mile is a great workout in itself, but the 2-mile REALLY gets you moving! I HIGHLY recommend! and am thinking of purchasing the 3-mile workout soon!
This DVD is perfect for me. I am overweight, out of shape, and have very little room in my apartment to exercise. This DVD is really helping me to get into shape and feel proud of myself. The steps are VERY easy to follow, but one can still get a great aerobic workout. Like anything, the chatter and 'music' do get tedious with viewing after viewing, so I concentrate instead on how much better I am doing and how much better I feel. I'll be using this DVD for awhile yet, but I am looking forward to 'graduating' to one of Leslie's more challenging workouts. Great for folks who are out of shape and need to ease into an exercise program, want easy-to-follow routines with simple moves, and have only a small amount of space in which to exercise.
This is one of Leslie Sansone's best videos. She can be a little chatty, but it's in a spirit of encouragement so I try to use it to my benefit instead of getting annoyed - I TURN UP the volume and walk around the house listening to her cuing! That adds variety, I'm able to go up and down stairs if I want, concentrate on my form and posture, and sometimes I get the vacuuming done too. Leslie's moves are simple, direct, easy to follow - rudimentary. The Walk-Away Weights are nice, but I already have lots of light dumbbells, so I use those - up to three pounds. I like the "real" people - ages 20 to 55 or so, not super-skinny or "totally ripped" although there is one woman who has six-pack abs and doesn't hide them. To her I say "you go girl" - she's at least 35! Everyone working out in Leslie's crew seems happy, confident, competent and relatively fit. That in itself is motivational. Leslie also makes sure that at least one person in her crew modifies the movements for less impact. Walking videos are wonderful to have on hand for bad-weather days and short-time days. The older I get the more I realize that walking is simply the safest and most realistic way to exercise.
I love this video it has changed my life. I went from no exercise a day to doing the 1 mile video. I have been doing this video for a month and I feel great. I'm not tired all the time and I sleep better at night. In two weeks I start the 2 mile video and I can't wait!
