    God, Family, & Forgiveness

I own both Love Comes Softly and Love's Enduring Promise. I have been an avid fan of Janette Oak since my early teen years and am now in my mid twenties. I always thought this series would make the best movies.....how awesome to see them become a series. In a society that is trying to remove God and good family entertainment...these movies restore my HOPE.

    I LOVED this movie!

This movie was sooo cute! Willie!!! I'll try to contain myself of extreme excitement. I loved how Katherine Heigl played the mother in a good Christian movie. I thought that was very cool. The only thing I disliked about this movie were two things: 1" The idiot guy she was gonna marry. sort of. He was all "marry me for my money!! You are passing up a good offer!!!" Blah Blah! Give me a break and just hit the road! Gosh. Anyway 2"They had some cheesy lines in there like "My heart is breaking...can you fix it?" or some very 'Captain Obvious' statements which i thought were funny. They would say something like "Do you want to take a look in this telescope?" No I just came over here to do just that and we clearly talked about doing that. Goodness sakes. I would take uhum....1 point off for the cheesy lines which would come to a 99%. A+! Yay! I would definitely recommend.

    Wonderful movie

This is an excellent movie, proving that it's possible to have an engrossing storyline that holds your interest throughout without including foul language or illicit sexuality. I highly recommend it for all ages.

    Such a good family movie

We just saw this on Hallmark last week with the first part Love Comes Softly. So awesome, a family movie to be treasured. Both of these films bring back the respect and honesty of times past that seem to escape todays society. You won't have to worry about your children hearing things not for their ears on these two movies.

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

    Good movie

There are some differences from the book and does have a little of the second book. You might like it if you haven't read the book, if you have then you might still like it.

    NOT Janette Oke

The only thing this movie has in common with the book is the name of the lead characters. In no way is it truly "based" on the book. As a huge fan of Janette Oke, I am very disappointed.
