More About This Product

Overview

Best known for its FM-radio staple "Sweet Home Alabama," the music act Lynyrd Skynyrd - a hard-driving, high-rush-of-adrenaline band that smoothly melded blues, rock and country - actually experienced a long and prosperous career from its origins in the mid-1960s, through the late seventies (when it lost one of its key members to a tragic accident) and again with a comeback that bean in the early nineties and has extended to the present day. During this second wind, Skynyrd found a new generation of fans as it emerged with such albums as Endangered Species (1994), Southern Knights (1996), and - most recently - 2003's critically acclaimed Vicious Cycle. Now, the band's signature southern rock style can be played by fans everywhere with the two-hour home video release Lynyrd Skynyrd: Signature Licks, an instructional film from Hal Leonard publishing that teaches listeners how to play eight Skynyrd tunes: "That Smell," "Sweet Home Alabama," "Free Bird," "Gimme Three Steps," "You Got That Right," "I Know A Little," "Don't Ask Me No Questions" and "What's Your Name."
