What can you say, you love this show and have every season on disc. As soon as the season ends, you count down the days until the home release. Because in an age when you can save every episode on DVR and watch it any time you want, there is something magical about ownership. The sight, the feel of something real to hold in your hands. The wonder of a memory stirred as you gaze at the collage of scenes. Yes, in an instant...the flash of a Draperism or a quote from Roger pins itself to your consciousness like an idea on creatives wall. Yet this year there is disappointment. Mad Men is and always will be cerebral viewing and we long to be in Betts, Joan, Roger, Don and yes even Peter's heads as we watch. Which is why you'll wonder why after five years, Lionsgate has foregone the inclusion of commentaries on the episodes. Good, but you want, need and desire great.
