Editorial Reviews

Barnes & Noble
Say what you will about Marilyn Manson: Call him "amoral"; say that "he needs his mouth washed out with soap"; or dub him "the Antichrist." Just don't say that he doesn't put on a good stage show. Marilyn Manson: Guns, God and Government is a pyrotechnic collection of live footage shot during a 2001 show at the Grand Olympic theater in Los Angeles and at concerts throughout Japan, Russia, and Europe. This DVD showcases some of Manson's favorite stage tricks, such as the spiderlike stilts he uses during his performance of "Nobodies" and a potpourri of religious (or sacrilegious, if you will) props. Supplemental features include "The Death Parade," a 30-minute short film chronicling the band's most recent world tour, with appearances by Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Tammy Faye Baker, and Eminem. Tracks are as follows:
  • Hate Anthem
  • Reflecting God
  • Great Big White World
  • Disposable Teens
  • Fight Song
  • Nobodies
  • Rock Is Dead
  • Dope Show
  • Cruci-fiction
  • Sweet Dreams
  • Love Song
  • Death Song
  • ACSS
  • Beautiful People
  • Astonishing

    YES!!

Finally, a DVD well worth the watch. Manson performs the best concerts. The backstage material is so amazingly awesome, and it's all hilarious in it's own way.
