One significant cast change occurs during Season 4 of Married...With Children -- namely, the departure of Steve Rhoades David Garrison, long-suffering accountant neighbor of the boorish Bundy family. Taking a chance by okaying a $50,000 loan for the redoubtable Al Bundy Ed O'Neill, poor Steve loses his job at the bank. Before long, Steve's wife, Marcy Amanda Bearse, is short one husband, as Steve runs off to become a park ranger at Yellowstone. After the divorce, Marcy joins Al's wife, Peg Katey Sagal, and the delinquent Bundy children for a getaway vacation to Las Vegas -- which culminates in a grudge match with a female wrestler! Nor is this all that happens during Season 4 -- not by a long shot. In the season opener, "Dead Men Don't Do Aerobics," Peg persuades a physical-fitness nut to pig out on junk food -- with fatal results. Elsewhere, a young Milla Jovovich guest stars as a foreign exchange student who becomes a thorn in the side of the Bundys' daughter Kelly Christina Applegate; son Bud Bundy David Faustino becomes the world's youngest talent agent; the family dog, Buck, finds a voice in the unseen form of actor Kevin Curran; and Al suffers from an unwelcome foot fetish when chosen to emcee a beauty contest at the shoe store where he works.

    CAVEAT EMPTOR

Before purchasing this DVD set there is one thing you should know prior to purchase: this season does not contain all original network versions. yes some of the episodes on this dvd set contains at least 7 syndicated airings of episodes. the reason for this is that someone lost the original sound tapes of the show causing them to use syndicated versions cut scenes and dialogue.which caused some dismay to some viewers but not to this one. i was a little dissappointed to find out hey im watching syndicated versions but it didnt affect me that much after all i dont know what im missing this show came out when i was in grade school so of course im not going to know every little detail about every episode which is good for me but not those who do remember. the good news is from season five on out have the original network versions. also rumour has it sony will be re-releasing this at some point in time with the original network versions. so either wait on a rumour that may not happen or buy now. a big tip off for dvd sets are this if its an old show and not in production, doesnt say complete series on the front or originalnetwork versions (seinfeld releases did a great job on letting purchasers know they were in fact getting the full original verions), then it is probly a good chance you will get edited cut shows, and incomplete seasons. so n short this isnt all in all a bad dvd set compared to others it still contains the "new" theme on all episodes and 7 syndicated episodes but they arent so severly edited that it causes confusion to the viewer. i give it 3 out of 5 stars due to syndicated episodes. i think the release is pretty decent i guess its just a question of how badly you want or need this to complete your married with children dvd set collection
