Guest stars include Rue McClanahan Golden Girls, John Amos Good Times, and Tom Bosley Happy Days. Blessed with some of the best TV comedy writing ever -- along with controversial plotlines -- the show is just as hilarious and surprising today as it was when it debuted in 1972. Full of memorable one-liners, including her famous warning "God'll get you for that, Walter!" Maude is a treasure trove of laughs.

    Very Funny! Intelligent comedy.

My husband and I are getting such a kick out of these shows! It's also intelligent comedy, which is so hard to find. Strangely enough, the early 70's issues often parallel the ones today. LOVE THIS! I hope the next seasons come out soon.

    Maude arrives! FINALLY!

I barely remember watching reruns of Maude on TV Land and thinking how groudbreaking this was for its time. Nothing today comes close. Bea Arthur is a powerhouse! Hope we get to see Bea make some TV appearances promoting this most welcome TV-on-DVD collection. Already looking forward to season 2...

    Still hilarious

I remember watching this in the 70's and it's still hilarious and meaningful for today. There's nothing else on now that's so funny. I'll be buying it, with hopefully the rest to come.
