    I Also Recommend:

There was a Lynch before Lynch!

I just saw Deren's famous 'Meshes of the Afternoon' for the first time and was blown away by how much David Lynch borrowed from this groundbreaking experimental director. 'Meshes' explores the subconscious in a superbly evocative manner. Deren seems to wonder: "What is the difference between the conscious and the subconscious mind, and what is the difference between wakefulness and dreamscape?" Fascinating films. Enjoy!!!
